Description

 

These kits have been designed for the pumping of shower waste water. They include shower drain pump, pump cover base, pump cover, transformer, flow switch / filter, gulley kit and install kit.

6 pump speed settings designed to suit electric showers (12 pump speed settings to suit mixer showers up to a flow of 12 lpm). Adjustable pump speed minimises gulley suction noise. High performance - draws 3.0 metres from gulley.The transformer includes patented Active Link diagnostics (the light indicates power present when the test button is pressed, flow operation and aids installation and maintenance).

  • When the shower is turned on the flow switch(es) provide a signal to the transformer to supply dc voltage to the pump*. The pump activates with a brief clearing cycle before the pump runs at its normal (often lower) pumping speed.

*For a direct connection to compatible showers with an internal on/off switch, please enquire for compatible showers and connection methods..

  • When the shower is turned off, the flow switch sends a signal to the transformer and after a pre-set time delay stops the supply of dc voltage to the pump.
  • After a further 15 minutes, the pump will switch on automatically for a short time at a reduced pumping speed removing any water pooled in the shower area.
  • The pump has the ability to run dry without causing damage to the pump.
  • Before installation read the instructions.
  • Plumbing and electrical wiring installation must comply with the latest regulations.

Do I need a booster pump?

A booster pump should be used when water pressure and/or flow is low. You can use a water pressure booster pump to increase water pressure/flow to showers, bathrooms, and the whole house domestic water supply. Most applications will also require a cold water storage tank to comply with UK water regulations - please contact us to check suitability.
